U.S. Bancorp unit settles lawsuit over role as trustee

NEW YORK, Dec 18 (Reuters) - U.S. Bank has agreed to pay $6 million to settle an investor lawsuit that accused the U.S. Bancorp unit of violating its duties as a trustee for mortgage-backed securities that were sold by Bear Stearns before the 2008 financial crisis.
