Mercer Appoints Chris Mahoney and Scott Jarboe to South Market Leadership Roles

Mercer announced today the appointment of Christine Mahoney as South Market Leader and Scott Jarboe as South Market Retirement Leader, both based in Washington, DC. As South Market Leader, Ms. Mahoney will be responsible for enhancing client service, building and leading client teams, and elevating Mercer’s brand in the market. She reports to Pat Milligan, President of North America. As South Market Retirement Leader, Mr. Jarboe will focus on ensuring client satisfaction and executing the overall Retirement consulting strategy in the market. He reports to Shams Talib, Retirement Leader for North America.

Ms. Mahoney has more than 25 years of experience as an actuary, working with large multi-national retirement plan sponsors on core and strategic consulting projects. She joined Mercer in 1997. In her most recent role, Ms. Mahoney served as the South Market Retirement Leader, driving the strong growth and success that the business has exhibited in the market. She received a BA in economics from Dartmouth College, and she is an Enrolled Actuary, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Mr. Jarboe has more than 20 years of experience consulting to corporate plan sponsors on pension plan design, funding, accounting and investment strategies with a specific focus on risk management solutions. He joined Mercer in 1997, and he has served since 2013 as the Office Business Leader for Mercer’s Baltimore and Washington Retirement businesses, a position he will continue to hold. Mr. Jarboe holds a BS in mathematics from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is an Enrolled Actuary, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow with the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
