Chairman and CEO David Becker Receives Lifetime Achievement Award in Mentoring

First Internet Bancorp (NASDAQ: INBK) Chairman and CEO David Becker has received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Mentoring from College Mentors for Kids, an innovative nonprofit with a mission to connect college students with the most to give to kids who need it most. Becker was recognized for his dedication to mentoring entrepreneurs and promoting mentoring in the business community.

Becker accepted the award during the 2015 Inspire Awards event February 26 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. The Inspire Awards honor individuals who have inspired excellence in the workplace or the community through mentoring. Over 500 community members attended the event.

In a reception held prior to the event, Becker received a proclamation from Indianapolis mayor Greg Ballard, naming February 26, 2015 “David Becker Day”. In the proclamation, Ballard noted, “David Becker helped create a culture of mentoring in the entrepreneurial and tech communities in Indianapolis, and his longtime advocacy for mentoring includes personally mentoring numerous local business leaders over the years… The City of Indianapolis congratulates David Becker on receiving the well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award in Mentoring and thanks him for his numerous contributions to our City.”
