Books-A-Million Hosts Star Wars Day Special Event

From 2 to 4 pm on Saturday May 2, Books-A-Million will hold a Star Wars Day Celebration event where customers can enter a Star Wars costume contest, compete in a Star Wars trivia contest and participate in other Star Wars themed activities.

In addition to the in-store event, Books-A-Million is giving away a Star Wars prize pack on Facebook. To enter, customers can look for the post on Books-A-Million’s Facebook page. The prize pack includes Star Wars fan favorites including Ultimate Star Wars, LEGO Star Wars in 100 scenes, the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia and more.

“This is going to be a fun event for fans to come out and celebrate the Star Wars Saga with us,” said Melanie Smith, Director of Marketing for Books-A-Million. “ The excitement is high following the release of the new Episode VII trailer. ‘The Force Awakens’ is probably one of the most highly anticipated movie releases ever. There have been so many fantastic Star Wars celebrations this year and this event will give fans a great outlet to continue the festivities.”

While all Star Wars fans will enjoy the costume and trivia contests during the in-store event, Books-A-Million will also have Star Wars themed activities specifically designed for kids. Young Star Wars fans can destroy the Death Star in the Star Wars Final Battle Maze, complete a Princess Leia activity sheet and more.

Along with the Star Wars Day celebration, Books-A-Million is also celebrating Geek Week, where customers can take advantage of a buy-one-get-one half off Funko sale as well as a buy-two-get-one free sale on select graphic novels and Manga.

As part of the Geek Week celebration, customers will also be able to register to win a trip to Comic Con® in San Diego. To enter visit Books-A-Million Comic Con® sweepstakes online. The winner will receive two tickets to the San Diego Comic Con® along with having airfare and accommodations provided for. Customers can enter to win starting April 25 and registration closes June 25.
