UPDATE 1-Chile's flights grounded as workers go on strike

SANTIAGO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Flights in and out of Chile were canceled Tuesday, grounding some 15,000 passengers nationwide, as workers associated with the country's civil aviation authority went on a 24-hour strike days before the travel-intensive Sept. 18 national independence day holiday.
