CACI Awarded $76.8 Million Task Order to Build Next-Generation Military Health Clinical Analytics Systems

CACI International Inc (NYSE MKT: CACI) announced today it has been awarded a $76.8 million task order to provide Medical Information Delivery (MID) Systems Engineering Support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic. Awarded under the Business Force Support (BFS) Pillar contract vehicle, this three-year task order in CACI’s Health market expands both the company’s presence in clinical data analytics and the support provided to SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic’s Health Systems Portfolio.

SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic provides advanced health IT solutions that support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and military health. Under the award, CACI will build, deploy, and maintain state-of-the-art medical intelligence and decision support systems for the Department of Defense (DoD), designed to improve the cost, quality, and precision delivery of healthcare to the 9.3 million DoD beneficiaries.

CACI’s support will enable SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic and DHA to fuse and analyze some of the largest known collections of accessible and clinically relevant data in existence today. This effort will require advanced data warehousing, cloud-based big data analytics, visual analytics, and advanced algorithm development to enhance DHA’s clinical quality management in areas ranging from genomics, to traumatic brain injury, to occupational illness and population health.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “CACI is proud to be a leading provider to the federal healthcare market, deploying our expertise in healthcare analytics to help the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic and Defense Health Agency improve healthcare for America’s military men and women.”

CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury said, “Our investment and strategic focus on healthcare analytics positions CACI at the cutting edge of delivering innovative solutions and services for government agencies like Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, a federal healthcare market leader in developing proactive, next-generation military healthcare solutions, for the Department of Defense.”
