A classic pilot watch design with top-quality components at an affordable price!HONG KONG – November 23, 2015 – Cambridge Watch Company is a new timepiece company that recently announced their launch product, the Spitfire Automatic Pilot Watch. Founded by two watch enthusiast, as well as a designer and an engineer, it is Cambridge Watch Co.’s shared passion to build a classic watch with top-quality components at an affordable price. Spitfire is the most famous plane out of World War II, and the watch is a tribute to its extraordinary achievement in many of the crucial battles. The watches have a 316L stainless steel case, which is 41mm in diameter, 14mm in total height, and 48mm lug to lug length. The straps are 20mm in width, and each movement is individually regulated to its best performance. In order to withstand water pressure up to 200 meters, three gaskets on the crown and two on the case back are used, and every watch is individually tested by water pressure up to 250 meters.
The Spitfire Automatic Pilot Watch uses crystal, a scratch resistant, double-sided curved Sapphire with anti-reflective coating. It glows in the dark for a clearer time reading at night or in a theater or concert venue. The DLC, or Diamond-Like Carbon, is a strong black coating added to the surface of the steel. It is the strongest black color coating available in the market. The case back features a beautiful vintage Spitfire plane in 3D relief. Currently, there are eight different options available, and each watch comes with a brown leather strap or black NATO strap. However, before everyone can enjoy this incredible, new watch, Cambridge Watch Co. needs help. That’s why they launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise £30,000 by December 15, 2015. The funds raised will go towards production and manufacturing of this launch product.
