Oncothyreon Inc. (ONTY) opened yesterday's session at 2.29 bettering the previous close of 2.13. The strong start was a relief for some investors who no doubt felt the brunt of the confusion which erupted over data released by the company in the sessions prior. ONTY released data on its ongoing trials testing ONT-380 in patients with breast cancer. In the end investors and analysts seemed to have made sense of the data because ONTY went on to post a high of 2.48 on better than average volume of 3.8M shares. ONTY closed the day at 2.35 which confirmed the bullish turnaround, ensuing current momentum. Ultra Petroleum Corp. (UPL) was hit with a negative rating by Moody's, a move which affected around $1.3B worth of rated debt. The ratings agency said in a release yesterday that UPL's Corporate Family Rating (CFR) has been downgraded from Ba3 to Caa1. The company's Speculative Grade Liquidity Rating fell from SGL-3 to SGL-4, and senior unsecured notes rating to Caa3 from B2. Investors didn't take the news too badly because UPL still managed positive trading on the day. At the end of yesterday's session the company closed up 2.26% on better than average volume of 5.4M shares. UPL is still miles away from its 12-month high of 18.04, however. Live Ventures Incorporated (LIVE) is in the midst of some interesting trading and yesterday it posted its biggest quarter in 3.5 years since current management took over the reins. RSI is 73 which puts the company in overbought territory but LIVE continues to trade with some upside potential.
