Magellan Health Names Srini Koushik as Chief Technology Officer

Magellan Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: MGLN) today announced that Srinivas “Srini” Koushik has been named the company’s chief technology officer, a role that will focus on driving growth and innovation by using technology to enhance products, and align technology architecture with both current and emerging business strategy. Koushik, who will report directly to Barry M. Smith, chairman and chief executive officer, will join Magellan on January 11, 2016.

Koushik joins Magellan Health with more than 25 years of experience in the technology and financial services industries, as well as significant leadership experience at IBM, Nationwide Insurance and Hewlett-Packard. In his previous roles, he designed and engineered innovative systems and technology platforms that increased revenue and streamlined operations. Most recently, as the president and CEO of a start-up company, he helped to drive innovation and product development by launching three platforms that increased revenue by $40 million for a global technology leader. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Madras; a master’s degree from Bombay University; and a master’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. Koushik has also completed executive-level coursework at MIT and Stanford University.
