TMS Announces Appointment of the Hon. John Reynolds, P.C. to Advisory Board

Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Targeted Microwave Solutions Inc. (CSE: TMS; OTCQX: TGTMF) ("TMS") today announced the appointment of the Hon. John Reynolds, P.C. to its Advisory Board.

Mr. Reynolds has nearly 40 years of experience at the highest levels of national and provincial government, in addition to a distinguished career in business, developing several successful mining and natural resources projects.

Amongst his many accomplishments, Mr. Reynolds served as Minister of Environment for British Columbia, a position that allowed him to develop unique insights into government sustainability and energy policies, and the interplay between private and public industry. His years of experience in the natural resources sector make Mr. Reynolds a valuable asset to the Company as it seeks to expand the application of its proprietary technology solutions to the mineral and biomass industries.

In addition to serving in the House of Commons as a Member of Parliament, Mr. Reynolds served for three years as Vice Chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association-Executive Committee (the first Canadian political leader to hold such a position). During this time, he developed relationships among the Association's 112 Commonwealth nations, states and provinces.  As a result, Mr. Reynolds is expected to play a key role in TMS’s business development and government-engagement objectives overseas, particularly in India.

During Mr. Reynolds’ most recent 10 years in the House of Commons, Mr. Reynolds was Official Opposition Whip and House Leader, and was elected by the caucus and the Executive Committee as Leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition. Mr. Reynolds also served as Chair of Stephen Harper's Leadership Campaign and Co-Chair of Prime Minister Harper's successful 2006 Election Campaign, and was appointed as a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada on February 6, 2006.

Chairman Dr. James Young, remarked: “We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Reynolds to our team. TMS is entering into a very exciting time in its growth cycle, marked by a large-scale expansion of the TMS technology to several promising material industries. In this context, Mr. Reynolds has demonstrated a keen interest in the “green” opportunities created by the TMS technology, and his experience makes him well equipped to advise TMS on its evolving strategic goals. TMS looks forward to working closely with Mr. Reynolds in 2016.”

About Targeted Microwave Solutions Inc.

TMS is focused on commercializing its unique, clean-coal upgrading technology, a low-cost microwave technology that reduces moisture in coal resulting in an upgraded energy content of coal. This process is expected to provide significant financial benefits to coal-fired electrical generating utilities such as: cost savings from switching to low-rank coal, increases in boiler efficiencies and heat output, improved ash efficiencies and reductions in scrubber costs. Important environmental benefits such as reductions in greenhouse gases and mercury may also be derived from implementation of TMS's technology. TMS has completed constructing a commercial-scale facility in King William County, Virginia, U.S.A. and has entered into joint ventures for China and India to develop and market its technology.
