WGL Holdings, Inc. Raises Annual Dividend $0.10 Per Share to $1.95; 40th Consecutive Annual Increase in Common Stock Dividend

The Board of Directors of WGL Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:WGL), the parent company of Washington Gas Light Company (Washington Gas), on February 3, 2016, voted to increase the quarterly dividend on its common stock to $0.4875 per share from $0.4625 per share. This change increases the annualized dividend level to $1.95 per share from $1.85 per share.

McCallister, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WGL Holdings, Inc. “The 5% increase reflects confidence in our strategic plan and our commitment to provide sustainable dividend growth for investors. Today marks a 40-year track record of raising the cash dividend on our common stock.”

The company, with 165 years of dividend payments to shareholders, has one of the longest dividend payment records on the New York Stock Exchange.

The new quarterly dividend amount will be effective for the next quarterly dividend, which is expected to be payable May 1, 2016 to shareholders of record on April 10, 2016.
