Kaplan University Opens First Student Support Center in Rochester, MN

Kaplan University and the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house yesterday to celebrate the grand opening of the University’s first Student Support Center. Approximately 45 people were in attendance including Rochester Chamber of Commerce executives and members, Kaplan University staff and community members.

“Kaplan takes great pride helping adult learners pursue a college education while continuing with their busy lives,” said Julie Valencia, Campus President of Kaplan University Rochester Student Support Center and Mason City Campus, during the event. “The new Kaplan University Student Support Center helps us do this while also bringing us closer to the community here in Rochester.”

Located at 115 N. Broadway in Rochester, MN, the Student Support Center provides a thoughtfully planned space with resources for students to meet, study and network. Current Kaplan University students will also benefit from the tutoring resources available on site. One-fourth of the nearby Mason City, IA campus students are from the southeast Minnesota area. New students can obtain information about online programs and courses and those offered on campus.

The University plans to partner with local businesses for their training needs and needs of their employees, as well as, become an active community member.

The Student Support Center is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information can be found at www.KaplanMN.com.
