Ohia Waikiki Hotel Completes Renovations and Joins Aqua Brand

Aqua-Aston Hospitality, an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), announced the completion of renovations to the Aqua Ohia Waikiki. With the extensive upgrades to its guest rooms and public spaces, the property joins the popular Aqua Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

Located in the heart of Waikiki, the 17-story, 251-room hotel reopened in July 2015 as part of the Lite Hotels group, aimed at budget-conscious travelers coming to Oahu. The most recent renovations include a full renovation of the lobby and front desk, updated pool area, new public area bathrooms, new corridor carpets throughout the hotel, room enhancements featuring upgraded furniture, exterior building enhancements, as well as other improvements to the common spaces. In line with Aqua brand standards, additional guest amenities have also been introduced such as the popular shuttle service, free use of beach chairs and towels, complimentary DVD rentals, and a complimentary weekly Manager’s Reception where guests can sample the hotel’s signature cocktail, the Ohia Island Tea. All of these improvements have elevated the hotel rating.

Starting this month, guests can take advantage of the fully renovated tiki bar and restaurant, Big Kahuna Waikiki, offering Hawaiian-style pub food and tropical cocktails in a casual setting.
