Alabama Launches Suite of Physical Therapy Applications Online

Alabama Interactive, in partnership with the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy, recently launched a new comprehensive suite of four applications: Address List, License Name Change/Reprint, Initial License, and License Verification. These four applications, along with the Board’s existing License Renewal application, have been merged into one convenient user interface enabling licensees to complete various tasks quickly and efficiently online.

Having these applications online has helped reduce the number of paper forms processed by the board, as well as expedited the turnaround time for the licensees. Licensees are now able to:

  • Submit an initial license application
  • Update information
  • Reprint an existing certificate
  • Purchase a list of active licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants
  • Submit a request for their license verification to be sent to any state board in the Unites States or the Virgin Islands

"We are excited about the new online availabilities for our licensees,” said Sheila Wright, Acting Executive Director. “We know this will be a time-saver for licensees, and be a more efficient process for the Board overall.”

Online services offered by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy include:

All services listed above were created through a partnership between the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy and Alabama Interactive. For more information about the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy, please visit http://www.pt.alabama.gov/.
