Shaun is an Iraqi Freedom War veteran, a husband, and a father of two kids. He graduated with honors from Vatterott College with an associate’s degree in computer technology. Due to his conditions of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and bipolar disorder, it took him over eight years to complete the writing of this book. Nearly ending his own life, he sought out help from the doctors at the Iowa City VA Hospital. He dealt with the agonizing process of divorce and having to leave his daughter at only the age of two. He did what he felt was best for his daughter. He remarried in the spring of 2011 and gained an eleven-year-old son.

He suffers and struggles daily with these ailments. His mind has been torn apart from being in the war. He now wants to help other veterans and their families in coping with this serious disease called PTSD.
