CORRECTING and REPLACING Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts Selects Tyler Technologies to Provide Statewide E-filing

Sixth paragraph, first sentence should read: Tyler’s Odyssey File & Serve platform serves courts and residents in 19 states across the nation, with 11 statewide e-filing implementations (instead of Tyler’s Odyssey File & Serve platform serves courts and residents in 13 states across the nation, with 11 statewide e-filing implementations).

The corrected release reads:

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE ILLINOIS COURTS SELECTS TYLER TECHNOLOGIES TO PROVIDE STATEWIDE E-FILING

Tyler’s Odyssey software will support court’s mandate to achieve a paperless system

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today an agreement with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts to provide a statewide e-filing system. Tyler’s Odyssey File & Serve™ platform will be used for eFileIL™ and will serve the Illinois Supreme Court, Illinois Appellate Court, and 87 Circuit Courts throughout the state.

eFileIL will support electronic filing of court documents via the web for attorneys, pro se filers and state and government agencies, significantly streamlining the case filing process and providing benefits to filers and the courts. This unique approach will reduce the need for physical handling, storage and security required by traditional filing and will reduce the amount of paper used, generating long-term savings.

Historically, a major barrier to digital filing in Illinois has been complications from operating more than a dozen different case management software systems in the state’s courts. To address this issue, Illinois courts will use eFileIL to integrate with each court’s case management system, something Tyler already does in many other states. The Odyssey File and Serve platform recently received IJIS Institute Springboard Certification, which affirms the implementation of the ECF 4 standard, and already enables the platform to interface with more than 20 case management systems.

Illinois Courts selected Tyler Technologies after evaluating eight comprehensive proposals from e-filing providers. They recognized Tyler’s deep expertise and success in statewide e-filing, including similar implementations with e-filing systems in Texas and Indiana.

“Using Tyler’s Odyssey e-filing software is expected to improve access to the courts and improve efficiencies for attorneys, self-represented litigants, clerk’s offices and the courts,” said Michael Tardy, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. “We are confident that Tyler has successfully implemented similar approaches in other state jurisdictions, and that Tyler will greatly assist the Illinois judicial branch in moving toward a completely paperless system.”

Tyler’s Odyssey File & Serve platform serves courts and residents in 19 states across the nation, with 11 statewide e-filing implementations. Currently, Odyssey File & Serve processes more than 1 million filings per month, supporting more than 300,000 registered e-filing users.

“Tyler is uniquely positioned to provide this solution because of our history of successfully completing many e-filing implementations of similar caseload and size as that of the state of Illinois,” said Jeff Puckett, president of Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division. “We are confident that we will make the case filing process more efficient, cost effective and user-friendly through this e-filing solution for Illinois.”
