Kaplan University, today announced that it has received Reaffirmation of Accreditation by the Institutional Actions Council (IAC) of the Higher Learning Commission. The determination continues Kaplan University’s regional accreditation through its 2025-2026 academic year.

The regularly scheduled reaffirmation process included a thorough peer review of Kaplan University’s assurance argument which was complemented by site visits to seven Kaplan University ground campuses.

“We are very pleased with this outcome as it recognizes our faculty and staff’s tireless dedication to making a positive lasting difference for our students and the greater community,” said Dr. Betty Vandenbosch, President of Kaplan University. Dr. Vandenbosch noted that with this reaffirmation, Kaplan University has been given the choice of an accreditation pathway to follow until the next reaffirmation in 2025-2026.

“Kaplan University remains steadfast in its longstanding commitment to provide its students with a high quality affordable education that gives them a good return on their educational investment,” said Kay K. Runge, chairperson of Kaplan University’s Board of Trustees.

HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region, which includes 19 states.
