Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus to Implement Tyler Technologies’ Odyssey for All Cases

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed an agreement with the Stanislaus Superior Court for Tyler’s Odyssey® unified case management system for all case types. This Odyssey agreement marks the 26th superior court customer in the state of California. Under the Odyssey software suite, the Court will benefit from the following solution components: Odyssey Case Manager, Odyssey Financial Manager, Odyssey Judge and Clerk Editions, Odyssey Portal, and dataXchange.

Tyler and the Court will complete a three-phased approach which will include pre-implementation planning and business process review, design and development of the overall solution, and completion of the Odyssey case management and document management solution deployment. The Court will also benefit from user testing, training, transition and go-live support throughout the project.

The Court had been using a legacy, custom-developed system but was looking for a modern solution to not only increase operational efficiencies but also to establish a solution that is easier to maintain over time. With Tyler’s evergreen licensing approach the Court’s investment is safeguarded because new features, evolving core technology, and continued compliance with legislative requirements are part of perpetual upgrades that Tyler provides without additional licensing fees. This means that the Court won’t have to be concerned with their system becoming obsolete or having to purchase the next release of software. Tyler’s Odyssey was selected as the ideal case management solution for providing access to justice for the Court’s half a million constituents as well as creating efficiencies for court staff.

“We were impressed by Tyler’s growing momentum of successful Odyssey implementations in California and were pleased to establish an approach that will enable us to use Odyssey for all case types throughout the Court,” said Rebecca Fleming, Court Executive Officer. “With more than 100,000 filings completed yearly, we needed a reliable solution that will support our 250 users and 24 judges across multiple locations.”

“Extending Odyssey’s presence in California, and especially in such an important court system in Central Valley, is a major achievement for Tyler,” said Jeff Puckett, president for Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division. “We will leverage our extensive expertise and experience from other California projects to successfully deploy Odyssey throughout the Court. The Stanislaus Superior Court is a Court with high case volume and has been operating understaffed for a long time. We are proud that the Court has elected Odyssey to help their staff achieve more with less, and we are very excited to begin our partnership with the Stanislaus Superior Court.”

Stanislaus County is located 80 miles east of Santa Clara and has a population of approximately 525,000 people. Overall, Odyssey serves more than 100 million residents, a third of the U.S. population, in more than 600 counties across 21 states.
