Knowles Appoints Helmut Vogler as Senior Vice President of Global Sales

Today, Knowles Corporation (NYSE: KN), a market leader and global supplier of advanced micro-acoustic, audio processing, and specialty component solutions, announced that it has appointed Helmut Vogler as its senior vice president of global sales.

In this new executive role reporting direct to the president and CEO, Vogler will be responsible for creating and executing Knowles’ advanced global sales strategy for all audio businesses including MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) microphones, Hearing Health, and Intelligent Audio.

“For 2017 and beyond, growth will be our focus as we execute in our core markets, while also capturing strategic design wins that integrate a complete audio solution – including acoustics, software and signal processing,” said Jeffrey Niew, president and CEO of Knowles Corporation. “Helmut has demonstrated great success with systems-level solutions, and I am confident that he will effectively drive this strategy forward for Knowles.”

Vogler brings significant leadership experience with semiconductor companies. He has held executive roles in sales, marketing and general management with Siemens, Infineon and Intel. Vogler served on the executive team for Infineon’s wireless solutions business that was later acquired by Intel in 2011. Post-acquisition, he assumed the role of vice president of sales and marketing for Intel Mobile Communications, and successfully established and cultivated key relationships with top-tier mobile customers.

“This is an exciting time to join Knowles, as the company continues to develop technology that improves voice and audio quality in mobile, ear and IoT markets,” said Helmut Volger, senior vice president of global sales, Knowles Corporation. “As we build upon Knowles’ rich history, the company will remain committed to delivering strong execution with core MEMS and acoustic customers, but we will also refine our strategic approach to secure new design wins with our emerging audio solutions.”
