West Virginia Office of the State Fire Marshal Launches New Online Invoice Payment System

Customers can now quickly and easily remit payment for fire safety inspection invoices and building plan and building system review invoices to the West Virginia Office of the State Fire Marshal online at www.firemarshal.wv.gov.

The new system, launched earlier this week, provides quick and easy invoice search capabilities, and allows users to pay multiple invoices in one transaction using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or electronic check 24/7. In addition to the secure payment processing, users receive email confirmation receipts immediately following a transaction. Prior to this service, checks for invoice payments had to be mailed to the agency and credit cards were not accepted.

The new service is the latest addition to the Fire Marshal’s existing suite of online services, which include the Electrician License Renewal System and the Fire Safe Cigarette Application & Renewal System.

"People have come to expect the convenience of being able to make payments online and our customers are no different,” said Kenneth Tyree, West Virginia State Fire Marshal. “We are pleased to offer the new online invoice payment service as part of our continuing endeavor to provide our customers with an efficient, effective, and user-friendly Web portal where they can electronically access the Office of the State Fire Marshal information, products, and services."

The new online service was developed at no cost to West Virginia taxpayers and was created by the West Virginia Office of the State Fire Marshal in partnership with WV.gov.
