“We’re extremely excited to bring Aric onboard,” said Emerson Spartz, CEO and founder, Dose. “His experience will be tremendously valuable to our team. Dose is growing quickly - diversifying content strategies, expanding our portfolio of brand partners, growing our internal content performance studio - so the timing couldn’t be better to gain such an asset.”

With almost 20 years of experience in the digital, social and online media industries, Lapera has dedicated much of this time to educating brands on social content. Most recently, Lapera served as vice president of brand strategies at BuzzFeed. Beforehand and while at BuzzFeed, he served as executive director and vice president of sales for the West Coast. Lapera forged successful partnerships for BuzzFeed with industry leaders including Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN); Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL); Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC); Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT); T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMUS); and Visa Inc. (NYSE: V). Prior to his tenure at BuzzFeed, Lapera held several positions at major media brands including MySpace, CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS), Weather.com and Ziff Davis, LLC.

“I’m very excited to be part of a company that is pushing the envelope in the social content space,” said Lapera. “There are several senior folks from other content publishers that are now together here at Dose building a business around products that brands have been asking for.”

Lapera founded the Music For Life Program in 2004, a nonprofit based in Sonoma County in partnership with the Valley of the Moon Children's Home that provides foster care children with the opportunity to experience music via hands-on education. A graduate of San Diego State University, Lapera holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and currently lives in West Marin with his wife and three daughters.
