Thursday Sector Laggards: Airlines, Cigarettes & Tobacco Stocks

In trading on Thursday, airlines shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 1.7%. Helping drag down the group were shares of United Continental Holdings (UAL), off about 11.2% and shares of Spirit Airlines (SAVE) down about 3.7% on the day.
