Kentucky Governor’s Website Wins Members’ Choice Award

Gov. Matt Bevin’s website (governor.ky.gov) was named State/Federal Members’ Choice in the 2017 Pinnacle Awards competition from the National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW).

The website, designed in partnership with the Governor’s Office, Red7e and Kentucky Interactive (aka Kentucky.gov), was chosen for its excellence in Web design and innovation. Kentucky Interactive worked closely with the Governor’s Office to implement, develop, and maintain the site, at no cost to the Governor’s Office.

“Gov. Bevin’s website is just one of many great ways for constituents to have full access to the latest news and initiatives of the administration,” said Communications Director Amanda Stamper. “We are honored to be chosen for this award that recognizes the value of forward-thinking, innovative website design.”

The 2017 NAGW Pinnacle Awards recognize the best in city, county, state, and federal government websites, as well as achievements in microsite and special site features.

Entries are judged by a group of Web professionals from various industries. Each entry is given a score based on the website’s content, organization, design, performance and flexibility, accessibility standards, interactivity, and the entrant’s team size. Winners are selected based on their overall score.
