Access Idaho General Manager Named as a Finalist for Innovator of the Year Award

Access Idaho General Manager, Jeff Walker, was recognized as one of three finalists for Innovator of the Year during the 12th Annual Idaho Innovation Awards held in Boise on October 24.

A selection committee consisting of leaders from Idaho’s business, technology, and academic communities evaluated the nominees.

The Innovator of the Year category recognizes pioneering business professionals who have at least 10 years of experience in their fields and are the first to develop new ideas or more effective processes, services, products, or technology.

Walker has worked at Access Idaho for 20 years and is responsible for the organization’s overall operations and administration. He has experience working with federal and state leaders, start-up companies, and large technology corporations. In addition, Walker has directed technical and marketing teams to create award-winning online government solutions, including PayPort, OntheGo and the state of Idaho’s trucking portal.

Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Idaho as well as a master’s degree in history from Washington State University.
