In trading on Wednesday, the SPDR S&P Metals & Mining ETF (XME) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.8% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Hecla Mining (HL), up about 5% and shares of AK Steel Holding (AKS), up about 4.4% on the day.
