Echo Global Logistics Selects project44 to Automate LTL and VLTL Activities

project44 announced today that Echo Global Logistics has integrated project44’s modern SaaS solutions to fully automate the end-to-end management of their Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and Volume LTL (VLTL) shipments, with plans to extend those services to additional modes of transportation via future integrations. Echo, a leading Third Party Logistics Provider (3PL) continues to build out its best-in-class, proprietary Transportation Management System (TMS), leveraging project44’s API-based integration layer to achieve instant carrier connectivity and next-generation data standardization.

“At Echo we strive to support growth and innovation by continually improving the services and solutions we offer to our clients, and pursue partners with a similar visionary focus,” says Doug Waggoner, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Echo. “project44 delivers state of the art automation and visibility solutions today, while also presenting a roadmap for supply chain digitization that will help us become an even more connected, innovative, and proactive provider in the future.”

With p44, Echo is able to improve its ability to provide clients with transparent, real-time full shipment lifecycle data for all LTL and VLTL transportation. More specifically, project44’s solutions will enable Echo to tender shipments, access live end-to-end visibility, and receive delivery documentation via a single, API-based integration—delivering seamless interoperability between Echo’s capacity providers, technology systems, and clients.

Integrating with modern solutions like project44 extends Echo’s ability to deliver industry-leading client experiences, and best-in-class speed to market. This will ultimately reduce their administrative costs while increasing productivity, and advance their position as an innovative, strategic partner with both their clients and carriers.

“project44 is an accelerator,” says Miles English, CIO at Echo Global Logistics. “Their cloud-based architecture, focus on security, guaranteed uptime, customer support, and onboarding efficiency rival that of other leading iPaaS-providers (Integration Platform as a Service). Yet, they also have the necessary deep domain knowledge required to help us successfully address the complex challenges present in today’s logistics networks and client’s supply chains.”

“Echo leads the industry by investing in innovative technologies that efficiently deliver seamless and real-time transparency to their clients,” says Jett McCandless, CEO and Founder of project44. “Their selection of project44’s software solutions clearly demonstrates that API-based technology is a competitive advantage, presenting a tremendous opportunity to logistics providers who increase the capacity of their own IT team by leveraging a best-in-class plug and play connectivity network.”
