Owens & Minor Names Shana Neal as SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer

She will report to Cody Phipps, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Owens & Minor, and will serve on his executive leadership team.

Shana Neal joins Owens & Minor (NYSE-OMI) as SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer. She joins Owens & Minor after serving more than a dozen years at Becton Dickinson in a variety of leadership roles. (Photo: Business Wire)

Neal, 52, joins Owens & Minor from Becton Dickinson, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, with oversight of the Life Sciences Segment, a $4 billion global business unit. Additionally, Neal led the organization and talent integration of several large acquisitions for Becton Dickinson. Her deep experience in medical device, global manufacturing, and acquisition integrations will complement Owens & Minor’s pursuit of its strategy and as it completes the pending acquisition of the Halyard Health Surgical & Infection Prevention business.

In her new role, Neal will serve as an officer of the company, and will be responsible for all global Human Resources functions of the company, including: Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits), HR Operations (HRIS and Payroll), Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership Development, and teammate relations.
