Larson Electronics LLC Releases Explosion Proof Device Instrument Enclosure With Sapphire Glass Lens

Industrial lighting leader, Larson Electronics LLC, has released an explosion proof device box instrument enclosure that allows operators to safely house compact equipment used in hazardous locations. This Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups B, C, D, Class I, Zones 1 & 2, Groups IIB+H2, IIA, Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups E, F, G and Class III Divisions 1 & 2 rated enclosure complies with domestic and international code requirements.

The ATEX-EPL-AEC-9.63-V3-GL-MOD1 from Larson Electronics is an explosion proof enclosure that provides instruments and devices protection against explosive hazards and ignitions, as well as dust, harsh weather, and tampering. This device box is built from copper-free aluminum with a powder epoxy/polyester finish. This unit features a sapphire glass lens for protection.

This instrument enclosure is rated NEMA Type 3, 4 and 4X. For maximum use of interior space, the ATEX-EPL-AEC-9.63-V3-GL-MOD1 comes with four hubs located on the south side. One 1/2” NPT for an XRL cable and one 3/4” NPT hub for power and data connection. The other two hubs can be used to pass water line connections.
