Shotokan Karate Instructor Improves Safety of Dojo With Greatmats

Karate Mats offer Woodgrain Look and Enough Cushion for Throws, Takedowns and Karate

SPRING, Texas - March 18, 2019 - (Newswire.com)

Shotokan Karate International Federation 6th Dan Dennis Livotto began studying karate in Australia in 1978 and has been running The Woodlands Shotokan Karate for more than 12 years. In October of 2017, he moved his dojo to its current location in Spring, Texas.

At that time, Master Livotto was looking to equip his new dojo with a soft floor that allowed him to maintain a woodgrain-themed look. So he turned to Greatmats' 1 inch thick interlocking Martial Arts Karate Mats

"We really enjoy it," Master Livotto says. "We can do throws, we can still do our karate. We can do full takedowns without getting hurt. Overall, the mats are good. They’re easy to clean. They’re easy to reconfigure."
