Citrix EasyCall Receives Inaugural VON Magazine Innovator Award

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced that Citrix® EasyCall has received a 2008 VON Magazine Innovator Award. The VON Magazine Innovator Awards is the foremost listing of innovative companies that represent the future of the Internet Communications industry. EasyCall is a new technology that improves worker productivity and saves phone costs by making communications capabilities like click-to-call available from any enterprise application with no changes to existing phone systems or applications. EasyCall enables the simplest and most intuitive way of integrating communications into any application as a core property of a companys existing application delivery infrastructure.

The VON Magazine Innovator Awards recognize the Internet Communications industrys best and brightest companies, and were pleased to include Citrix as an inaugural winner, said Bill Sell, publisher, VON Media Group. Companies like Citrix should take pride in their accomplishments because the selection committee unanimously chose EasyCall as a standout example of an advanced communication solution.

EasyCall includes a simple, click-to-call-enabled corporate directory that automatically synchronizes with an organizations main directory, as well as a call log that provides a simple way to redial commonly used numbers. It also includes an XML web service, based on SOA (service-oriented architecture) that can be embedded directly into any web application or website to create a Call Now button for users. This approach is ideal for external facing vendor support or e-commerce sites, making it easy for customers to contact corporate call centers while also reducing the toll-free charges of those call centers. Calls initiated by EasyCall are billed at their employers lower corporate rate rather than significantly higher mobile phone or home office rates.

By integrating communication capabilities into application delivery, EasyCall enables users to initiate communications right from any application and from their choice of telephone office, mobile, or even home telephone, said Barry Phillips, group vice president and general manager, Advanced Solutions Group, Citrix Systems. We are honored to be recognized by VON Magazine, which provides business professionals with authoritative guidance about the Internet communication industry.

Announced in October 2007, Citrix EasyCall is included as a standard feature in the Platinum Editions of Citrix application delivery solutions including Citrix® NetScaler® for web applications, Citrix XenApp for Windows applications, and Citrix XenDesktop for virtual desktop delivery.
