Kowabunga! Expands Data Center for ValidClick AdExchange Platform

Kowabunga!® (AMEX:THK), the leading provider of interactive performance-based advertising networks and technology platforms, today announced that it has successfully expanded its data center capacity and completed several major upgrades to the ad serving capabilities of its ValidClick AdExchange platform.

The enhanced data center facility, which is located in Kansas City, Missouri, is expected to improve application speed through new hardware upgrades, application level upgrades and more efficient bandwidth allocation. The facility also allows for an additional 1,500 servers to be added as needed.

We continue to experience increased publisher demand for our ValidClick AdExchange XML feed and it was important that we plan for anticipated growth, explained Stephen Lerch, Chief Revenue Officer for Kowabunga! We are seeing more and more partner opportunities every day, and it is imperative that we be ready to take advantage of those opportunities as they arise.

Other significant upgrades that were made to improve the platforms performance and scalability include: moving to a proprietary, multi-tiered, replicated server architecture designed to enhance ad serving response times and facilitate more granular scoring changes as needed for Fair Isaac® Click Conversion Score 2.0, as well as upgrading the storage area network and improving the data management processes to accommodate the tremendous volume of data collected by the system.

Kowabunga!s Chief Technology Officer, John Linden, said, These changes will allow us to grow more quickly and more efficiently than we could before. With the expansion and simultaneous upgrades to ValidClick AdExchange, we are now positioned to grow our current capacity by a factor of 30 without significant constraints, with the ability to bring another 1,500 servers online as needed. Equally important are the improvements to the architecture that will immediately provide better scalability through lower incremental costs associated with the anticipated growth in impressions, clicks and ad-serving.
