GENERAL STAR ANNOUNCES RESTRUCTURING AND APPOINTMENT OF GREGORY J. DIORIO AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
General Star Management Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Gregory J. Diorio as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, all underwriting divisions will report to Mr. Diorio. “Greg’s appointment signals the further evolution of General Star in its efforts to provide broader products and services to its clients,” said Patricia H. Roberts, President and Chief Executive Officer of General Star.
In addition, Joseph L. Majsak has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Majsak will oversee the new Marketing Services Division, which was created to provide focused marketing and product development services.
The Company’s Claim and Administration units will report to Victoria J. Seeger, General Star’s Chief Underwriting Officer, in addition to her current Underwriting Services Division responsibilities.
P. Cole Palmer will replace Mr. Majsak as Manager of the Company’s Casualty Division and will also manage the Professional Brokerage Division. Within the Casualty Division, James M. Richardson will serve as Western Regional Manager, while Michael Keane will serve as Eastern Regional Manager. The Company’s Medical, Property and Professional E&O Divisions will continue to be led by Faith Logsdon, Michael Denton and Tom Gersch, respectively.
