Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) announced today that Eric Cohen has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Cohen will work closely with Dolby’s management team to develop and implement corporate strategy.

Cohen comes to Dolby after 30 years in investment banking and with diverse experience advising clients in strategic transactions and financings across a broad range of industries. For the past 10 years, he was a managing director and senior member of the technology investment banking team at Cowen and Company, where he headed the firm’s digital media, Internet, and new media business, and also worked with key clients across the technology industry. He founded Cowen’s digital media practice in 2001 when the sector was first emerging in the financial markets. Prior to Cowen, Cohen held the position of Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, where he helped to establish its West Coast investment banking practice, and he also worked for 13 years at Credit Suisse First Boston, helping to drive that firm’s growth throughout the 1980s.
Cohen holds a BS degree from Brown University and an MBA degree from Stanford University.
