Hiller Aviation Institute:
WHAT: | The ninth annual Hiller Aviation Vertical Challenge, the nation's largest all-helicopter air show, will feature more than 50 helicopters including the incredible Red Bull BO-105 helicopter, the only aerobatic helicopter that can fly upside down and perform loops and rolls. This awe-inspiring event will include entertaining demonstrations from the Showcopters, a two ship helicopter team that will perform an aerial ballet to the helicopter anthem "Flight of the Valkyries," an exciting search and rescue demonstration performed by the Coast Guard with their HH-65 Dolphin, extraction demonstrations from the Sonoma County Sheriff's department, thrilling water drops by the California Department of Forestry and more. Golden Gate Helicopters, a helicopter service company based at the San Carlos airport, will provide helicopter rides to the general public for $50 per person.(1)A limited amount of free rides are available to journalists by calling (650)200 5891. | ||
