Shares of EMC Corp. (NYSE: EMC), the majority owner of VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW), tumbled $1.50 to $13.64 after VMware warned that 2008 revenue will miss expectations and announced the immediate departure of president and chief executive Diane Greene to be replaced by former Microsoft executive Paul Maritz. VMware stock skidded $14.11 to $39.08.
