Lyris, Inc. Hires SVP of Global Sales to Drive Next Phase of Company Growth

Lyris, Inc., the online marketing expert, today announced the addition of Brian Bailard to the company as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. Bailard joins Lyris with more than 20 years experience in sales leadership, strategic account sales management and in-depth knowledge in on-demand and Web-based technology. In his role, Bailard will lead the global sales effort, and continue to contribute and build upon Lyris strength in online marketing. He will report to Luis Rivera, the CEO of Lyris, Inc.

Prior to joining Lyris, Bailard held executive sales management positions at several companies that provide Web-based technology in a software-as-a-service business model, including large, mid-size and young growth companies such as Thomson-Reuters, Advent Software, BDNA Corporation and Financial Crossing. He has successfully sold to and developed lasting relationships with companies such as Kaiser Permanente, Fidelity Investments, Qualcomm, Charles Schwab, Electronic Arts and AIG. He began his career in engineering and marketing with IBM. Bailard holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
