Game Development Middleware Heavyweights Line Up Behind Emergent’s LightSpeed

Emergent’sGamebryo® LightSpeed™ revolution gained a major vote of confidence with a dozen of the game industry’s most important middleware providers declaring their support. Emergent Game Technologies is working with companies like NVIDIA, Scaleform, Audiokinetic and Speedtree on deep integrations to extend to them the rapid iteration benefits of Emergent’s ground breaking tech.

Emergent’s approach of creating cross-platform, cross-genre core technologies that fit the needs of the entire industry -- instead of merely a single title -- has always enjoyed popular support from top middleware providers. The quantum leap forward embodied by Gamebryo LightSpeed’s focus on giving designers and artists the ability to effortlessly innovate through swift iteration has attracted an enthusiastic groundswell of support.

These partner integrations go beyond just import and export functionality. The flexible and extensible design of LightSpeed allows the data driven system to be extended to all tools giving them the rapid iteration benefits of Emergent’s technology. The third party tools are being integrated directly into the pipeline. This approach creates a continuous and consistent workflow that dissolves the “walls” between first and third party middleware being used on any title.

“We are impressed with the overall workflow of LightSpeed, especially its rapid prototyping capabilities and deep integration with Scaleform’s widely adopted Flash UI and new Video middleware. The flexibility, extensibility, and support made it possible for us to take the integration beyond our initial expectations,” said Brendan Iribe, president and CEO, Scaleform. “With LightSpeed, Emergent spent time listening to our feedback and making key modifications that allowed us to deliver a truly out-of-the-box solution. As a result, game developers will benefit from a richer integrated visual development experience, which streamlines the production process and accelerates workflow.”

“Audiokinetic is dedicated to providing our customers ground breaking technology that will enable them to bring the best audio possible to their game. In order to accomplish our mission we only partner with the best technology on the market,” said Andre Nadeau, president and CEO, Audiokinetic. “Emergent’s newest product, Gamebryo LightSpeed, is not only excellent software for today, it is the foundational future for creative game development. As a partner with Emergent our solutions will be enhanced through the pluggable architecture of Toolbench and the underlining data driven framework.”
