Tech stocks fall on Microsoft, Amazon results

Technology stocks, which posted one their best market performances just one day ago, headed straight into the red Friday and showed few signs of recovering after a weaker-than-expected earnings report from software giant Microsoft Corp. led to broad selling across the sector.
