Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) Securities upgraded CarMax ( NYSE:KMX) to outperform from market perform, saying it is increasingly confident that the company will be able to beat earnings expectations, especially in the second half of the year. The broker said it also sees around half a dozen longer term opportunities for CarMax that aren’t reflected in estimates, including faster store growth, and increasingly Internet-driven sales model and improved sourcing self-sufficiency. –MarketWatch IBM (NYSE:IBM) , the world’s largest computer-services provider, agreed to buy Netezza Corp. for about $1.7 billion to gain analytics technology.
