Bank of America Merrill Lynch has received two top honors from Euromoney magazine, being named Best Global Investment Bank and Best Global Transaction Services House in the Euromoney 2014 Awards for Excellence.This is the first time in the history of the Euromoney awards that any firm has simultaneously won both awards.
In the publication’s write-up about the investment banking honor, Euromoney wrote: “Bank of America Merrill Lynch has come a long way in a short space of time. It is clearly one of the go-to firms today, harnessing the strength of its overall business and balance sheet to complement its growing capabilities in providing financing and smart solutions to corporate and institutional clients.”
“This is a notable milestone for us and a tremendous achievement by everyone in Global Banking and Markets,” said Christian Meissner, head of Global Corporate and Investment Banking. “The fact that we are recognized as both Best Global Investment Bank and Best Global Transaction Services House highlights the power of our fully integrated business, the strength of our global platform and the commitment of our team.”
For transaction services, the publication said: “An energized, collaborative and solutions-driven approach targeting global companies is proving to be a winning formula for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in its transaction services business. [The company]... has built an impressive range of strategic local and regional partnerships, while investing heavily in technology to ensure that its targeted clients get the transparency and liquidity that they need, wherever they need it."
