Tri Counties Bank to Award $10,000 to the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services in Commemoration of 40th Anniversary

Tri Counties Bank continues a year-long celebration of its 40th anniversary with a $10,000 award presentation to The Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

“We’re proud of our success over the past 40 years and this success has allowed us to reinvest in our communities,” said Rick Smith, President & CEO. “Giving back is one of the cornerstones of why we exist.”

Earlier this year the bank kicked off its anniversary festivities by awarding $1,000 to 40 non-profit organizations throughout its footprint in California.

To choose the top 40 recipients, Tri Counties Bank employees took part in a voting process among all non-profits historically supported by the bank throughout Northern and Central California. The 40 selected non-profits were then considered for the master grant of $40,000. Four non-profits whose missions closely aligned with that of the bank were selected as finalists.

The $40,000 master grant was awarded to Habitat for Humanity of Butte County to assist in a build site on East 11th Avenue in Chico. The three runners-up were the United Way of Northern California based in Redding, VECTORS in Chico and The Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. Each of these organizations are being presented with $10,000 each.

From a single bank on a tree-lined street in Chico in 1975, Tri Counties Bank has grown to serve communities from Bakersfield to the Oregon Border, from the Sierra Nevada to the wild north coast, with assets of nearly $4 billion.

This event is open to the press on Thursday, October 1, at 9:30 am. at the Sacramento Food Bank offices at 3308 3rd Avenue in Downtown Sacramento. A tour of the organization includes the building under renovation at 3333 3rd Avenue which will house their Clothing and Parent Education Centers.
