Egyptian President Mubarak Resigns, Markets Close Higher

The resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak buoyed the markets to a higher close with the Dow gaining 43 points to 12,273. Nasdaq climbed 18 points to 2809.

On the upside

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn acquired a 9.08% stake in Clorox (NYSE: CLX) saying that the stock was undervalued.

Fourth quarter earnings climbed for Rackspace Hosting (NYSE: RAX) as revenue increased.
