Melanie Simpson Joins Ellie Mae as Executive Vice President of Human Resources

Ellie Mae® (NYSE:ELLI), a leading provider of innovative on-demand software solutions and services for the residential mortgage industry, today announced that Melanie Simpson has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Melanie will be responsible for setting the human resources agenda, enabling the company’s ongoing growth attracting and retaining talent and leading professional development strategy to ensure Ellie Mae remains a competitive and award-winning employer.

Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Melanie spent eight years working for the Microsoft Corporation. Most recently she served as the General Manager of Human Resources for Microsoft’s World Wide Services businesses where she was responsible for partnering with business leaders and leading the human resources agenda for a 21,000-person organization that stretched across multiple functions, sites and geographies. Before joining Microsoft, Melanie held roles with Safeco Insurance, GE Money and GE Plastics. Melanie holds a bachelor’s in Engineering from the University of Melbourne and a post graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from Swinburne University.
