Manhattan, NY – On April 13 2015, Postag launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Postag App, a mobile application that helps you celebrate your everyday style.
“I wanted to develop this app because we all wake up every morning and get dressed. Why don’t we celebrate every day people’s every day style? I don’t have any background in fashion. I’m an engineer! But I do like to get dressed and I do think about my look,” shares the creator, “I felt weird constantly sharing on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram. I wanted to create a platform for people like me. Stylish, but not on the red carpet. Into fashion, but not necessarily a blogger.”
Postag is currently available for iOS and with the help of this Kickstarter campaign the company plans to expand to Android and include some great new features. Postag lets users easily tag their clothes and search for items by gender, season or brand. The app has a built-in camera so you can instantly upload your outfits to and share them with other fashion lovers.
The goal of Postag is to act as your own style social network. Users can follow individuals with the same taste in clothing and accessories for a steady source of outfit inspiration. The interactive newsfeed lets you comment on and like other user’s posts and gives you a platform to share your own unique style. Another great feature is Postag’s fashion guide, which helps you stay up to date with current fashion trends.
“Tag your own clothes or outfit ideas and share tips with people who have the same tastes you do,” the team says, “In Postag, you can keep track of trends or start your own! Share your sense of style with other budding fashionistas and get feedback for the next time you go shopping!”
