Sumitomo Chemical Releases New Agricultural Insecticide

Sumitomo Chemical (TSE: 4005) announced on August 9 that it has started to market "Pleo," an agricultural insecticide which was registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on August 6.

Containing pyridalyl as an active ingredient, this IPM (Integrated Pest Management)-complying product displays excellent pesticidal effects on lepidopteran and thysanopteran insects.

As a key product in its agricultural pesticide business, the company will strive to promote "Pleo" in earnest.
