Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F), $11.60, +0.39, 3.48%, managed to close at 11.60, near the day’s high of 11.63, with a low of 11.15. A year ago today Ford hit its 52 week-low of 1.61, and on January 11, 2010 its 52 week-high of 12.14. Ford Motor, a producer of cars and trucks which it distributes across six continents, announced that its 2010 Lincoln MKT has earned top ratings for frontal and side-impact crash tests and has been added to its leading number of five-star crash test rated vehicles.

Questerre Energy Corporation (TSX: QEC), $5.05, +1.35, 36.94%, hit its 52 week-high on January 20 at 3.98 and today it managed to close up 36.49% or 1.35 at 5.05. Questerre reported on the results from its St. Edouard No. 1A horizontal well in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, Quebec, with initial rates showing over 12 MMcf/d and during the test, the well flowed natural gas at an average rate of over 6 MMcf/d. Questerre Energy Corporation is an independent energy company focused on shale gas in North America.

Recycle Tech Inc. (OTCBB:RCYT), $0.27, +0.095, 54.29%, saw its shares traded in the range of 0.20 to 0.28, the 52 week high sits at 0.35 which was hit back on February 19, 2010. RCYT closed up 0.095 cents or 54.29% at 0.27 today. The company announced that a Letter of Intent was signed to fund all materials and labour which will be used to build 50 Haiti Relief units in Port de Paix, which will hold a capacity for 12 people and have already surpassed Florida Building code standards including wind resistance and seismic testing. Recycle Tech is a development and engineering firm.

YRC Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: YRCW), $0.37, +0.008, 2.18%, was one of the heavier traded companies on the NASDAQ today that managed to stay in the green. YRCW traded the day on a tight squeeze between 0.36 and 0.38. YRC announced that it closed on the first tranche of the $70 million private placement in principal amount of unsecured 6% Senior Notes due 2014. The notes are convertible into shares of the company's common stock at an initial conversion price of $0.43 per share, subject to adjustment. YRC will use the net proceeds from both tranches to fulfill its remaining 2010 note obligations with the remainder going to general corporate purposes. YRC Worldwide Inc. is a transportation service provider worldwide.

Pharmathene Inc. (AMEX: PIP), $2.13, +0.22, 11.52%, made considerable gains today trading in the range of 2.01 to 2.54, closing up 11.52% at 2.13. Pharmathene announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) modified its previous contract allowing for a total of $78.4 million in additional funding to support the continued advanced development of SparVax™, an anthrax vaccine targeted for future procurement in the U.S. Strategic National Stockpile (SNS). Pharmathene is a biodefense company that specializes in medical countermeasures against chemical and biological threats.
