Brazil stocks rise after U.S. confidence data

Brazil’s equity market rises Tuesday, sloughing off losses after a report showed U.S. consumers had a somewhat brighter outlook on the economy this month, and as shares of state-run Banco do Brasil gain after a ratings upgrade.
