The first was Morgan’s Hotel Group’s Hotel Las Palapas, which opened last winter.
At the new Acanto Hotel, clients can enjoy the cosmopolitan ambiance of Playa’s 5th Avenue and one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
Introductory rates start at $176 Per night for double occupancy. The Acanto is also offering free nights (if you book at least three nights) if you are wiling to be a "Tweeter" and tweet about you experience at the hotel and your top five favorite restaurants and lounges in Playa del Carmen
The Acanto Hotel is housed behind grand hacienda style gates and has a prime location just one block form the beach and less than a block from the bustling 5th Avenue.
A grotto style center courtyard pool offers a space to relax and enjoy a swim or soak in the sun pre and post beach and village visits. The Acanto has 21, one- two- and three bedroom suites.
