Utility Consultants & Associates Expands Into Houston

Predominant Use Studies as set forth by Texas Administrative Tax Code 3.295 give manufacturing and multi-family businesses tax exempt status on gas and electric utilities. If a Predominant Use Study performed by a degreed engineer determines 50% or more of the utility is used in a non-taxable manner a tax exemption certification and a copy of the study are submitted to the utility provider eliminating the state sales tax, lowering the utility bill 6.25%.  Additionally, Texas Administrative tax code 3.295 allows qualified businesses to obtain up to a 48 month refund of overpaid sales tax.
