Throughout his brilliant professional career, Carl has consistently displayed the passion, vision, and dedication necessary to be successful in the business world.
Mr. Hennum is the Principal of Carl A. Hennum & Associates, which is a company that provides a wide range of clients with consulting services in the areas of transportation planning, road network management, capital planning, operational reviews, and asset management. Prior to starting his own company in 2006, Carl spent 40 years with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), lastly as Assistant Deputy Minister of Operations giving him an extensive knowledge base in the industry. Notable accomplishments with the MTO include initiation of comprehensive asset management processes for management of the provincial highways and establishment of partnerships with the private sector in planning, engineering, construction and maintenance of the highway network.
Carl attended Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and earned an honours bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. He is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario and Ontario Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Hennum is also actively involved with the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing, which is a volunteer based organization that is dedicated to assisting individuals with a disability to lead richer and fuller lives through active participation in recreational and competitive snow skiing and snowboarding.
